Schmidt Mountable Sweeper

The Schmidt SK 500 mountable sweeper is especially designed for cleaning municipal streets. It is the best alternative between a compact sweeper and a large truck mounted sweeper. The hopper has a volume of 5.0 m3.

Capacity and Technology

The Schmidt Mountable Sweeper SK 500 is ideal for use on municipal roads. The side-fitted disc brush swings out wide and moves the debris from the gutter and in front of the 550 mm wide suction shaft. Underneath the vehicle, an additional 1 250 mm long feeder brush conveys the dirt from the street to the suction nozzle. The vacuum air leads directly to the suction shaft which means that maximum suction capacity is achieved even at low speeds. The suction shaft is V-shaped and this design increases the level of suction. The SK 500 fulfills the regulations for dust and bears the PM 10 stickers.

Easy Operation

The hydrostatic drive ensures a variably regulated travel and sweeping speed of up to 40 km/h. Located directly next to the driver’s seat, the control panel is designed to be easy for the driver to operate. The menu navigation is logically structured and many commands are automatically controlled. Additionally, main functions such as changing the travel direction or adjusting the disc brush angle are installed directly next to the steering wheel. This makes it possible for the driver to fully concentrate on the traffic situation and sweeping task at hand.

Versatile and Long-Lasting

The Schmidt SK 500 mountable sweeper is ideal for use on truck chassis with a permissible total weight of up to 12 tons. The hopper’s tipping angle is 47°. The base pan is made of stainless steel. The 1 100 l water tank is made of glassfibre-reinforced plastic and is non-corrosive.
