The automotive SUPRA 5001 snow cutter blower is mounted onto a specially designed articulated vehicle. Thanks to this articulated frame steering, the torque of the four-wheel drive is applied to the cutting head in the working direction at all times. The rear vehicle thus follows exactly in the path of the front vehicle, irrespective of the turning radius, which makes it possible to avoid scraping along high walls of snow.
The SUPRA 5001 makes it possible to eject the snow a long way to the left or right, or load it onto trucks. The driver’s cabin can be raised by up to 700 mm to ensure the driver has optimum visibility at all times.
The vehicle is hydrostatically powered by an infinitely variable speed regulator, as is the cutter head. The diesel engine for the entire transmission system is to be found under the bonnet at the rear end and has an output of 420 kW.
